Industry Practitioners as Instructors

Technology has been changing at a faster pace than we imagine. Every couple of years, they change. In such a scenario, it becomes difficult for academicians to keep them abreast with the latest development. At the same time, various researches & Government reports have clearly indicated that all engineering colleges/universities including IITs face lack of faculty.
In such a scenario, leveraging expertise available in the industry is the only solution to solve the problem. It will ensure that students learn the latest in the technology. Leveraging the expertise of technology experts who are either creator of technology or at the forefront of the technology development addresses the above mentioned problem. However, it also created another problem. Getting the experts to the class as per the semester schedule poses big constraints because of their availability in the time zone, being busy in technology development or release. Therefore, we record the lectures of these experts and make them available to students on the cloud so that students can access or view them as many times as they need and at their convenience. It also helps us implement flipped classroom effectively for our programs.
50 plus experts from the industry are developing courses. Also, curriculum is updated every 6 months to meet continuously changing industry requirements. All the lab exercises are also designed & developed by master practitioners Seer walks with them to bridge the gap between the academia and industry.

Practice, Practice & Practice to Hone Skills

In any field of expertise, application of knowledge makes the difference. Students need to apply the concepts in a simulated environment. Seer has designed India’s 1stprogram to shift to less than 35% lecture component and more than 65% practice component as an approach to course delivery. Therefore, students invest more than 2/3rd of their time to hone their skills. This approach has transformed individual talent. Outcomes of Seer programs are testimony of the same fact.

24x7

24x7 Access to VLSI Lab

India’s only enterprise grade VLSI lab with 24×7 online access from anywhere. Our lab is equipped with all the tools required for the complete ASIC flow. Each student will have a unique account through which they can login into the server from any place.

Two Dimensional Bloom’s Taxonomy

To measure the learning outcomes, Seer is proud to implement Two Dimensional Bloom’s Taxonomy (2DBT) to engineering education. It is an extremely simple yet powerful technique to keep the focus on the outcomes of the program. It helps in measuring the outcomes of a learning program. It also works as a guideline for instructors for creating the assignments/labs. An assignment is mapped to the below matrix in terms of which cognitive learning process is being used and which knowledge dimension is used to solve the problem. Ideally, as the course progresses, the matrix should be completely filled. Ideally, for a course, the lower right corner of the below table should have more labs/assignments/project in comparison to the top left corner.
